School Nurse LPN 1:1 – Trach experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 care for a medically fragile elementary student in the McDonough, GA area. This role involves supporting the student throughout the school day as well as providing care during daily transportation to and from school. Bus pickup will be determined shortly, but will likely be between 6:00 - 6:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous 1:1 nursing care to a student with complex medical needs

• Manage and monitor:

  • G-tube feedings

  • Tracheostomy (trach) care

  • Seizure activity and response

• Assist with all activities of daily living (ADLs) due to full dependence

• Ride the school bus/van with the student to and from home daily

  (Transportation time is fully paid)

• Collaborate with school staff and follow individualized care plans

Requirements

• Active Georgia LPN license

• Experience with:

  • G-tube

  • Trach care

  • Seizure monitoring

• Comfortable working with a fully dependent student

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred (but not required)
